When will Stray Blade be released?

• Stray Blade is slated for release some time in 2023. A release date or window has not yet been confirmed beyond the year.

What Platforms will Stray Blade be available on?

• Stray Blade is confirmed to be released on Playstation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam and Epic Games.

What type of game is Stray Blade?

• Stray Blade is an Action-RPG with what seems to be a semi-open world setting. While it may not be the same in scale as true open world titles such as Horizon Forbidden West or Ghost of Tsushima, it does appear to include multiple regions within the Valley of Acrea main location, with each region potentially being quite large. At best, it can be compared to the game worlds and stylings of the first Darksiders game, the pre-BOTW Zelda titles or even 2018's God of War.
• Stray Blade is played from a third person perspective, with you taking the role of the Adventurer. There is also a companion named Boji, who will be with the Adventurer throughout the journey.
• Stray Blade is focused on intense melee combat with an emphasis on precision and anticipation. It also places importance on exploration, with some Metroidvania-style gating of areas until you have acquired the appropriate ability.
• There is a persistent time mechanic which always moves forward, regardless of your actions or whether or not you die in combat. This mechanic goes hand in hand with the central theme of 'change'. Stray Blade aims to present an ever-changing world where every event, every action and every decision matters, affecting the larger world at hand.

Will there be Character Classes in Stray Blade?

• There does not appear to be any traditional Classes in Stray Blade. However, there is a Weapon Mastery system and a deep Skill Tree which will allow you to create builds to accomodate your preferred playstyle and weapon types.

Is there a Character Creation system in Stray Blade?

• From Trailers and Previews, it appears there is some customization for your character in Stray Blade, in the form of Equipment coloring. Players will be able to choose from a wide selection of colors for their Weapon and Armor, with each piece of equipment having three separate color wheels for added customizing. Players will also be able to find more pigments to add to their collection throughout their adventure.
• It is  currently unknown if Stray Blade will allow you to create a Character from scratch in the traditional sense where you could specify various parameters for how you will appear, including gender, hairstyle, facial shape, etc. 

Will Stray Blade have a Multiplayer component?

• As of this writing, Stray Blade is strictly single-player only. However, this may change as development progresses and some form of Online Play may be made available.

Is there a Demo or Beta available for Stray Blade?

• There are no Demos available yet but 505 Games are accepting sign-ups for a Private Beta Test, the details of which are currently unknowm.
